Chanology

Safari posting

Uses your existing 4chan session in Safari. First version for iPhone testing.

Checking posting bridge…

  1. Install the free Userscripts app and open it once.
  2. In Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions, enable Userscripts. Allow access to chanology.net and chanology.onrender.com, boards.4chan.org and sys.4chan.org. If the sys page redirects before you can grant access, use All Websites → Allow in Userscripts’ Safari settings for testing. The bridge itself matches only the Chanology hosts and the two 4chan hosts.
  3. Open posting userscript
On that script page, open Safari’s extension menu → Userscripts and install the detected script (version 0.1.5). Installing the Userscripts app alone does not install the bridge. If needed, save the .user.js file in the script folder shown in the Userscripts app. Open its Safari menu after adding the file. Confirm Chanology — Safari Posting Bridge and Enable Injection are enabled.
  4. Reload Chanology in Safari. Write a reply and tap Post. The same tab opens 4chan; review the prepared text/file and tap Post reply.
  5. After 4chan confirms the post, Chanology returns automatically. If Safari cannot return automatically, tap Return to Chanology. QR receives the receipt and registers the post with your watcher.

Session and recovery

Use the Safari profile where you are already signed into 4chan. This version supports existing CAPTCHA-less sessions, such as a Pass. Resolve login or verification on 4chan; it adds no CAPTCHA solver.

If no receipt arrives, use Check posting result in QR. Check the thread before allowing another attempt. Drafts are retained until a confirmed receipt. Submissions never retry automatically.

Prepared drafts are held temporarily in Userscripts storage. They expire after ten minutes; payload cleanup runs while the script is active. Only small result records remain for seven days. Install the bridge in one script manager only.

Physical iPhone validation is pending. Safari’s screen limits still apply; this bridge does not run in the Home Screen PWA. The existing Firefox extension remains available.
